Douglas Waterman MD

Dr. Douglas Waterman graduated his medical school training from the University of Alberta. He achieved his specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology through the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor and has received towards for his excellent clinical teaching. Dr. Waterman maintains his clinical skills through a vigorous routine of continuing medical education. He is an accomplished laparoscopic and minimally invasive gynecology surgeon, and he has a special interest in urogynecology including complex pelvic floor repairs and reconstructive surgery. As part of his practice he treats many women in the perimenopausal and menopausal years and has an interest and experience in hormone replacement therapy. Recently he has added laser vaginal therapy to his practice to treat postmenopausal atrophic vaginitis and some types of vulvar dystrophy.
